Public Notice

The Town of Ridgeland will be conducting its annual flushing and flow testing of the water system in August, 2017.  The S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control requires that the town flush its water system annually.

Flushing consists of opening hydrants and allowing them to flow freely.  During this process, it is possible that your water may appear discolored.  This is normal and can easily be eliminated by letting your water run for a few minutes.  We especially urge you to check your water BEFORE washing laundry.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call Town Hall @ (843) 726-7501 Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Town of Ridgeland Wins Municipal Association Award

The Town of Ridgeland has won the Municipal Association of South Carolina's Achievement Award for Economic Development with it entry for Tuten Park.  Previous winners of this award include Myrtle Beach, Charleston, and Columbia.

Tuten Park is a small area between businesses near Exit 21 off Interstate 95.

The area was previously an unmaintained drainage ditch fenced off for safety reasons. Now the Town's newest park offers a respite for weary travellers.  Numerous plantings soften the appearance while the brick walls and pavers connect it to the existing Town sidewalk system.  A fountain and heron sculptures also lead visitors to the Blue Heron Nature Trail just to the north.
